In the face of declining fish catch, extreme weather events, population growth, and stringent Gov’t regulations on fishing, Pingire County, a predominantly fishing community is under pressure to construct diverse portfolios of activities and social support capabilities for locals to adapt to socio-economic challenges and mitigate emerging effects of climate change.

The Foundation is undertaking programs aimed at diversifying livelihoods, cognizant of the significant role this plays in Reduction of poverty, food security and improvement in the general welfare of these fishing communities.
