Opolot Fred Foundation is a registered not for profite organization based in Uganda working towards improving livelihoods in the rural fishing communities of Teso sub region through rehabilitation of health and education facilities, increase of output and quality of farm products as well as building capacity of women and youth saving and credit groups.

Our Mission

Committed to empowering underserved fishing communities through implementation of programs that support expansion of social safety nets while building capacity of beneficiaries to actively participate in national Development process.

Our Initiatives

The Foundation is undertaking programs aimed at diversifying livelihoods, educating locals and improving their general health, cognizant of the significant role this plays in Reduction of poverty, food security and improvement in the general welfare of these fishing communities.

The Deplorable State of Okidi Community Primary School is located in Pingire County, Serere District as documented by TV East.

With an enrollment of 600 pupils, learning is conducted under trees and makeshift structures. The few incomplete structures are a sheer effort of the community in a desparate effort to have children educated.
